Examination and Promotion

  • Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive at the institute on time for all examinations. Latecomers may not be allowed entry into the examination hall.

  • Material Requirements: Students must bring their own necessary materials such as pens, pencils, rulers, and other stationery. Borrowing items from fellow students during the examination is prohibited.

  • Examination Table Setup: Only essential items, such as a writing board or pencil box, should be placed on the examination table. No other materials or personal belongings are allowed.

  • Silence During Examinations: Talking or communicating with others during the examination is strictly prohibited. If students have any doubts or questions, they must raise their hands and wait for the examiner’s assistance.

  • Promotion Criteria: Promotion to the next academic year is based on the average marks obtained in the terminal examinations. A student’s performance during exams plays a vital role in their promotion.

  • Attendance Requirement: A minimum of 75% attendance is mandatory for students to be eligible for the annual examination. Failure to meet the attendance requirement will result in disqualification from appearing in the examination and promotion.

  • Sick Leave: If a student is unable to attend an examination due to illness, they must submit a valid doctor’s certificate promptly during the examination period. Absence without a certificate will lead to the student being marked as absent.

  • Examination Schedule: Examinations will be held strictly according to the scheduled time. No exam will be conducted before or after the allotted time.

  • Cheating and Dishonesty: Any student found guilty of cheating, or providing dishonest help during an examination, will be disqualified from the remaining exams and awarded a zero. Such behavior may also lead to expulsion from the Institute.

  • Missed Exams: If a student misses any part of the examination, they will not be eligible for ranking or grading in that exam session.

  • Fee Concessions: Students who fail the exams are not eligible for any fee concessions or adjustments.

  • Marks Verification: If a student wishes to verify their marks in exceptional circumstances, they can submit a formal application to the principal within 7 days of the results being declared. However, this request will only be considered at the discretion of the principal.

  • Final Decision: The result declared at the end of the academic year is final and binding. The Institute’s decision on examination results cannot be challenged in any court of law.

  • Non-Reconsideration of Promotion: Any decision to deny promotion will not be reconsidered, regardless of the reason.

  • Annual Exam Non-Attendance: Students who do not appear for the annual examinations will not be promoted and will need to repeat the year.
